Our Mission is to provide the most advanced dentistry by a team of experts who demonstrate care, compassion, enthusiasm and personal integrity to every patient they meet.
Acorn Dental offers a wide range of dental services, enabling most of our patients to have all their treatment performed in our office, without the need for outside referrals. Our patients enjoy the convenience and time savings of only having to visit one office.

I’ve been a Registered Dental Hygienist since graduating from Camden County College in 2007. I am passionate about dental hygiene because of my own fear of the dentist. I want to help my patients feel as comfortable as possible at every visit. I became interested in being a hygienist because I truly believe that the more educated you are the less scary something becomes. Prevention truly is key to maintaining good dental and overall health.
I am fortunate enough to have married my best friend, and we have 3 amazing children. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, either at the beach, in my canoe or playing at the park. I love to watch the Flyers also.
I’ve been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2010 after graduating from Camden County College. I love that I get to play a role in helping our patients lead healthy lives, especially kids, who I can make sure their first dental experience is a positive one. I enjoy spending time reading and working in my yard.
I have been The Patient Coordinator at Acorn Dental for five years. My goal is to make our patients feel warm and welcome the minute they arrive for their dental visit. My favorite part of this position is meeting new people and being the first to introduce them to our wonderful practice. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children.
Registered Dental Assistant – I have been working with Dr. Van Istendal for 21 years. It has been my pleasure interacting with our patients and seeing their families grow. I am proud to assist the doctor in providing quality dental care to every patient we meet.
